From a Fish to a Tiger, Not Much Has Changed for Miguel

Miguel Cabrera has always been known at the plate over his fielding to most people, but a career average of a .973 fielding % states otherwise. Cabrera made a big trip going into 2008, as a blockbuster deal occurred, sending him and Dontrelle “D-Train” Willis to the Tigers. Apparently, this deal never affected his life on the field, as Miguel kept his stats oh-so similar to what they have always been known to show.
Comparisons from 2007 and 2008 show exactly this, with 34 homers in ‘07, and 37 in ‘08, as well as Slugging percentage of .565 in ‘07 and 37 in ‘08. The Tigers are lucky to have him in the in-field for protection, then at the plate for the opposite half of the innings. All-Star games or Home-Run Derby, Miguel is a star in any town, Detroit or in Florida.
